Reimagining the marketplace.

Slabtown Marketplace and LL Hawkins represent the first completed city block (Block 296) within the Con-Way Master Plan in NW Portland, and will serve as a catalyst for future development and revitalization in the area. The 92,000 sq. ft. mixed-use development in NW Portland includes market-rate apartments, retail, a local grocery store, parking, and a new pedestrian accessway.

The western half of the site, Slabtown Marketplace, is the redevelopment of a 36,000 sq. ft. warehouse, home to anchor tenant New Seasons Market and two additional tenant retail spaces. These projects were a collaboration with GBD Architects.

Accessway

A new pedestrian thoroughfare bifurcates the superblock and connects Slabtown Marketplace to LL Hawkins and the surrounding neighborhood.

An enriched experience

Expansive wood canopies and porches, reminiscent of loading docks, create rich new pedestrian environments.
