André is an Australian-born architect who brings over 15 years of international experience in residential, commercial, and civic architecture. Throughout his career, he has been deeply engaged in every phase of the design process—from initial concept through construction—driven by a commitment to create architecture that delights in fostering community and a strong sense of place. His design-forward approach to sustainability & community-led design is exemplified by The Nick Fish, a LEED Gold-certified mixed-use development that is transforming Portland’s Gateway Urban Renewal Area.

As Project Architect on Multnomah County Library’s East County Library in Gresham, Oregon, André is responsible for the execution of the technical detailing and design. This 95,000-square-foot flagship facility will offer expanded services and programming to nearly 40% of Multnomah County residents.

Now based in Bend, Oregon, and fueled by a love of the outdoors, André is focused on expanding Holst’s presence in Central Oregon while contributing to the region’s rich architectural landscape. If you find yourself in town don’t hesitate to reach out for a coffee!

How do I become an architect? What is the difference between Architecture and Engineering? Can I job shadow an architect for a day? How do architects turn designs into buildings? Can I tour your office with my child? What roles can I perform in architecture? How do I know if architecture is the field for me? Would an architect speak to my class about architecture? What degrees do I need to be an architect?
