Bryan joined Holst with nearly a decade of experience spanning large-scale multi-family housing, hospitality, and office projects — from small tenant improvements to complex high-rise towers. As a Project Architect, Bryan is passionate about engaging every phase of the design process — from early conceptual ideation through Construction Administration. He believes that architects carry a responsibility to create thoughtful, sustainable designs that empower communities and foster social resilience.

Recently, Bryan served as Project Architect on The Strong Family Apartments, now named The Luther Strong Jr. and Dr. Jackie Strong Empowerment Village. The project will provide 75 affordable housing units and generous amenity spaces to North Portland.

A born and raised Oregonian, Bryan enjoys camping throughout the Pacific Northwest, at-home DIY projects, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Education

Bachelor of Architecture, Minor in Business Administration, University of Oregon, 2011

How do I become an architect? What is the difference between Architecture and Engineering? Can I job shadow an architect for a day? How do architects turn designs into buildings? Can I tour your office with my child? What roles can I perform in architecture? How do I know if architecture is the field for me? Would an architect speak to my class about architecture? What degrees do I need to be an architect?

Holst invites curious minds to ask questions about architecture.
