Architect | Minnesota

Email

Originally hailing from the Netherlands, Froukje joined Holst’s Minnesota office with 10 years of U.S. architectural experience focusing on remodels, additions, new housing constructions, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), and some experience with educational and public safety buildings. She is passionate about creating engaging architecture that inspires a sense of surprise and play.

After the completion of Washington County’s Center for Addictions Triage & Treatment Hillsboro Recovery Center, Froukje has shifted her focus to Fora Health’s transitional housing project. Adjacent to Fora Health’s treatment center, a project Holst completed in 2021, the project will provide a stable housing environment to support patients as they continue on their long-term recovery journey.

Outside of work, she loves riding her Triumph Scrambler 1200, going ballroom dancing, and practicing her photography in nature or with her newborn daughter Lilyana.

How do I become an architect? What is the difference between Architecture and Engineering? Can I job shadow an architect for a day? How do architects turn designs into buildings? Can I tour your office with my child? What roles can I perform in architecture? How do I know if architecture is the field for me? Would an architect speak to my class about architecture? What degrees do I need to be an architect?

Holst invites curious minds to ask questions about architecture.
